The man in the back was an American visitor...." The American was Addie Becker who was married to my granny's cousin, Anna Becker. They visited my granny, Margaret Young Farquhar in 1953 and 1955. They were our sponsors when we went to Missouri. The little girl, second from the right, is Ellen Pender. The boy on the far left is, I think, my brother, Neil. I am familiar with this photo because somewhere in my house is a very similar photo of the school age kids at the same party.

One little girl, not in the picture, although her mother and brother are, was Suzanne Meredith.  The family moved to Wales and Suzanne was one of the children who died in the Aberfan disaster.
