This is mah big brithur Jim's class and ah oanly know wan urr two o' these faces. They're as follows:
Back Row, extreme left wi' the blond hair is Jean Carroll. Jean lived at 6 Mitchell Ave., Westburn - we lived at no. 12 She wis a big stoatturr, so she wis!
Third Row, fifth from the right (white shurt) ah'm sure is Matt McLeary. Matt wis hoat stuff wi' a ba'!
Front Row, saikint fae thi left is mah brithur Jim and extreme right o' this row (wi' 'is kilt oan) is Wullie Fulton. Wullie had 2 brithurrs (Cormack and Tommy (Tommy wis in mah class at some stage)) an' a sisturr Anne. They lived in Ardoch Grove. A lovely family. I think Mrs. Fulton moved to Carntyne or somewhere near there when she lost her husband, so she might still be there - I hope so.
Ed, it's difficult putting a 'year' to these 'photos, but I think in my class we'd have been about 9 or 10 years old which would point to the year 1952 or '53.  I would say their ages would be about the same which would make the year 1948/49 I can't be 100% sure, though.
It would be nice to know if you get any reaction to these photographs and particularly nice fur oamdy tae pit me oot mah mizurry regarding some o' thi names that I've unfortunately forgoattin. Ah'll apologise fur this in advance (afore thi hate mail starts arrivin'!).
