Sid McEwan was born 25 May 1916, Shawpark St Glasgow. In later life he lived a 11 Mitchell Drive Rutherglen.

He was the science teacher in the 1950s. He also led the choir which sang in the church. I am keen to know more about his history and to talk to anyone who knew him.

The reason I asked is that I was a member of the choir and as part of the group, had a wonderful summer holiday in Acharacle in the mid 1950's. There we took rolls of colour cine film of each other and I often wondered what happened to that film.

Sid's real name was Thomas Joseph McEwan and he emigrated to 66 Roxborough St East, Toronto. He's now presumed dead.

I often wondered what became of him and the film, which will now have tremendous social and historic: did it survive and now be in the hands of his estate?
