This is my great granny. On the original you can read that the poster is talking about the Scottish Eclipse which I think was about 1926/7. The name above the shop is Ella Oakley - her daughter!

The little girl is my grandmother (Robina) and she is with her aunts Nell (Helen) and Anna Grogan.   Interesting that you say that is Westburn House in the Background - which I think used to be near the golf course.   I always thought the photo was taken in Dundee.   You can see I still have a lot to learn - having only moved to Edinburgh 15 years ago!  I shall have to go back to the drawing board on timings now.   My mums birth certificate shows her place of birth as Cambuslang Golf Course... but I have no other proof than that... although one of my great aunts was married to Willie Smith - a golfer.   Could the photo be taken at his house which I think was the greenkeepers house.
