Photo is of (L to R) Thomas (20), Walter (18) and Alex (16) Prentice in December 1915, home from the front on leave. The photo was taken at a studio in Cambuslang at Donaldsons, 247 Main St Cambuslang. Thomas and Alex did not return from the Great War and were remembered on the (now missing) plaque on Cambuslang War Memorial. Their names are also listed on the Memorial Plaque which apparently hangs in the new Hallside Primary school.

This family photo of my grandmother, Mary Whyte Miller Smith (later Prentice) and her family (the Smith family), in c1903. The photo shows (L-R) Archie, Janet (later Merrilees), Will, John (Snr), Quintin, Mary, Gavin, Jane (nee Weir), Gabriel (Gibb), Robert, John. Many of the family remained in Cambuslang after they married and brought their own children up there, and they may still be in Cambuslang!
