I have attached a photo that some of your readers may be interested in. My aunt, Jean Dunsmuir, who was born in Park Street, is in the front row, far right hand side. She married Bill Baillie, and lived in Halfway until she died two years ago.
My aunt was born in 1919, so there may be people out there who recognise themselves, or relatives in the picture.
I would guess it was taken in the late 1920s. My dad, David Dunsmuir, was also born in Park Street, in 1913. He is 90 now (2003), and lives in Cathkin Braes. We lived at 30 Church Street, right across the road from the old fire station front door. My dad was a part time fireman there. He also worked in Clydesmill Power station. Regards Gordon Dunsmuir.
