"The location and date is generally in the filename, and some have the date printed on the pic in reverse order (YY/MM/DD - if they were taken with my cheap 35mm point-and-shoot camera!). The one of Overton Rd on 1st May 1997 is timely - that was General Election day, the day that Tony Blair finally defeated the Tories. If only we knew then....! Works Avenue no longer exists, it was at Hallside Steelworks and was landscaped over. The substation site was right in the middle of a field that is now a housing estate - Acacia Way runs right through the middle of the site now".
