Loanend
Cottages. Photos donated by Liisa Hepworth 28 Oct 2015 via 'Halfway Memories' Facebook
Group
She says "Some pictures taken of the old mining cottages at Loanend, Flemington, where the pits were active until 1932. Pictures are care of Jessie Hebenton from the 1950s who lived in the cottages from a young age. These cottages are now painted white and are homes to 50 adults and children and are preserved in memory of their rich heritage."
